Iris Nazarena is a perfume that delves into the ancient art of perfumery while forging a path toward futuristic expressions. Central to its composition is the iris, particularly the rare Iris Bismarckiana, known for its precious rhizome which takes six years to develop its full aromatic potential. Perfumer Ralf Schwieger crafts a unique narrative by blending this powdery, woody note with incense, creating a deep, mystical allure.
Iris Nazarena introduces elements such as ambrette, rose, and star anise for a touch of floral and spicy freshness. Earthy undertones are provided by juniper berry, patchouli, and vetiver, while clove, oud, and additional incense enrich the composition with smoky, leathery nuances. This scent celebrates the ancient origins of perfumery, embodied in the ritualistic burning of incense, capturing both the essence of the iris and the historical depth of scent creation.

I can’t put my finger on it but this smells like something I’ve owned before. Maybe Victoria’s Secret? Smells like youth but also like a very rich lady who has spent all day in the kitchen baking cookies. If it wasn’t $350 for 50ml I would be bathing in it.
It's a beatiful vanilla but I find it only lasts on me about 2 hours. It's really lovely for those who like an intimate scent bubble. That's not me. I find Celeste by Giardini Di Toscana to be very similar, lasts ages, and is less expensive. I won't be shelling out $400 for this but it's nice.
