BH I'm fairly new to the oud ingredient, and this is nice representation. The opening is a bit sharp but once it dries down it feels like being enveloped in a cloud of smokey, leathery wood, as if one had stepped into a wood furniture factory full of raw materials with a fireplace crackling with smouldering coals in the corner. But a little bit goes a long way and if one overdoes it, it gets very cloying, I've made that mistake once. You know, it reminds me a little bit of Aramis, which as a young man I couldn't wear, it was too sharp and didn't dry down on me, but this smooths out pretty nicely. Not a daily wear, recommend for special evening occasions. And won't be for me because, unfortunately, my wife can't be near me with it on. Happy wife, happy life, onto the next scent ;-)

Ben Very similar to Penhaligon’s Blazing Mr Sam. Would make a great alternative.
