I really like this perfume. It opens with a strong vanilla cake batter scent which is very well balanced. Vanilla, butter and dough. Hiding just under that is a lovely sweet apricot jam note. The coconut hides for a while but starts to shine through after a while. As with all Jousset perfumes that I've tried it is a long lasting perfume. It is more of an intimate scent and doesn't overwhelm with huge projection. The butter note lasts for a long time, so if you don't like buttery fragrances you might need to look elsewhere. When I spray this I honestly feel like I'm sitting in a Parisian cafe.
Opens with a quite realistic baked goods smell. Like a freshly baked pie crust. Unfortunately there is a strange (burnt plastic) smell underneath that pokes through occasionally. No apple note that I could find, and if there was I'd give it more than 4 stars. The vanilla takes a while to shine through, this is definitely one that develops over time.
It is however an absolute beast of a fragrance. It lasts on my skin all day and the projection is big! Not for the faint of heart perfume wise! Jousset is a great fragrance house.
I love this scent and will be purchasing a full bottle. Begins with a lovely vanilla and burnt sugar. Then, BAM, there's the toasted coconut. The three notes are perfectly balanced and stay that way for the duration. It's a very clean scent and not that 'sunscreen" type of coconut. It layers beautifully under many other fragrances. Sillage is good but not overwhelming. I keep spraying this on before bed as it's such a comforting, soft scent. It's not the most 'creme brulee' of scents but I love it just the same. Longevity is good and lasts about 6-8 hours on my skin.
I've been looking for a scent with these notes. Reading reviews I really thought I would love this one. Sadly, there is very little fragrance in my sample. I've tried it a few times and only get a vague baked goods scent that lasts for a few minutes. It might be my skin but I has zero longevity on this. I've read other reviews who loved this. I was hoping for more but it's not for me.
The first spray is very strongly maple syrup and smoke. Not an unpleasant scent and I can see why many people like this. There's a base note of vanilla but it is overpowered by syrup and spices. It's not the most realistic gourmand in that it doesn't give waffle cone. There is a bakery scent but mostly maple syrup. I'd call this maple pancakes. It last 4-5 hours on my skin which is decent. I think this is more suited to a young age group/
