Café Tabac by Aedes de Venustas is a luxurious fragrance inspired by the legendary '90s bar in New York, a place synonymous with clandestine celebrity hangouts. Perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, influenced by a vibrant trip to the Dominican Republic, captures the essence of tobacco in its various forms, blending it with notes of bergamot, apple, tamarind, and exotic fruits like mango, fig, and date. Herbal tones of clary sage and davana add depth, while the base reveals a rich mix of vanilla, cacao, and spices such as clove and cardamom.
This opulent scent, with a high concentration and crafted using traditional methods, embodies the spirit of hedonistic nights and chic, unguarded socialising, making it a tribute to a bygone era of glamour.

I can’t put my finger on it but this smells like something I’ve owned before. Maybe Victoria’s Secret? Smells like youth but also like a very rich lady who has spent all day in the kitchen baking cookies. If it wasn’t $350 for 50ml I would be bathing in it.
It's a beatiful vanilla but I find it only lasts on me about 2 hours. It's really lovely for those who like an intimate scent bubble. That's not me. I find Celeste by Giardini Di Toscana to be very similar, lasts ages, and is less expensive. I won't be shelling out $400 for this but it's nice.
